The Phenotopic Trait
In the metro:
SMS #1:
Sender: Happy Valentine’s Day Sarah! —<@
Sender: You are Sarah Pang, aren’t you?
Me: Hihi. Am Sarah 5th year 🙂
Sender: Ouhh.. Sorry Sarah. I must have been confused :p
In the very same metro:
SMS #2:
Sender: Hey. Come to see your cute daughter! Since you came back here, she started walking already. She’s cute, even cuter by now!
Me: (Eh, bila pulak saya ada anak ni??)
SMS #3:
Sender: Anyway love, Happy Valentine’s Day. I love you for the love we share all this while. Ops. We have the prayer at 10pm every night in my room. Hope to see u there love.
Me: (Aik. Berapa orang nak ucap Valentine’s apa kejadah ni kat saya pagi-pagi ni? Sembahyang apa pulak pukul 10 malam?)
Me: (reply) Am single and not even a divocee. Erk.. What daughter did you mean? Hehe.
Me: Did u mean it for Sarah Pang? Am not her 🙂
Sender: Oh! Sorry sorry sorry! I really was mistaken by names. Ouch!
In my uni, there are 6 Sarahs which are relatively 1 from each year. The most senior is supposedly known as Sarah Senior. I am the 2nd. So called as KS or Sarah Shukor. The next is known as Sarah Karaoke. That is Sarah Pang. She won the Open Karaoke Competition organized by Malaysian Students. The 4th Sarah is Sarah Aqilah. A 3rd year student. Well known as Sarah Hatim. Hatim is her best friend here. Wherever they go, they will be together. The 5th Sarah is known as Sarah Junior. She is a mixed Mamak girl. So people address her as Sarah Mamak. But I don’t give a bright to call her with such name. I always address her as Sarah Pushkin for the fact that she’s staying in Pushkin Hostel. And the last Sarah is Sarah Chinese. I don’t know her full name. So, I simply address her that way. A 1st year freshie.
Would this phenotopic trait continue to last for the next few years? Let’s wait and see. What I want to highlight here is, Sarah is a universal name. Is not it? 🙂
And what I wondered most when recieving the 1st SMS was: Hey, who wanna play jokes on me wishing Valentine’s very early in the moning? Ehem. Sorry Encik. I do not celebrate Valentine’s.
Note 1: I am extremely busy at the moment. Sad 🙁
Note 2: Internet connection is &^$%&(*&%#@* still. (Sekarang ni pun chori-chori chupke-chupke line budak laki. Ahaks)
