Anyway, You Are Beautiful, Miss.
I had a brief lecture on roll back Malaria partnership in the Tropical Disease Institute nearby my place this morning. As introduction, the professor introduced himself as Dr. Anatoli Kondarshin, one of Russian Representatives in WHO. It was great to have the opportunity to meet him in person and to listen to his lecture on this topic.
It’s freak to know that he memorizes all countries that ever exist in the world. He could even name the regions respectively according to the world mapping. What does he have in his brain?
Well, apart of it, there was something that he said which had triggered my excitements to bits. By chance, he wanted to know our names one by one including which part of the world we came from. When it came to me, I introduced myself very briefly: I’m Sarah, from Pahang, Malaysia (he knows every single places in Malaysia!). What comes to my surpise, he said: Nice to know you, miss. Do you know the origin of your name? (he mentioned about his first name is originally from Greek). I simply answered based on little idea I have in mind: From Arabic or English, maybe (I grinned. Hehe). He bent down his body and whispered slowly to the class: It’s from Hebrew (he smiled and laughed). Anyway, you’re beautiful, miss. There, I grinned again.
Ahha. See. I have the whole reason to smile! Whether he noticed or not, I wasn’t in a good condition this morning. I had gastric all the way till lunch hour. How could he say I am beautiful with such a look on my face? Ahha~
Funny. I am not beautiful, sir. Perhaps, the professor was at his move to win our hearts to listen to his lecture. Anyway, he is way better than Saiful Apek in making jokes. He’s nearly 60 and is still kicking!
