Assalamualaikum wbt
Cuti saya untuk hujung minggu kali ini ditarik balik di saat-saat akhir. Kecewa sungguh saya pada hari Jumaat lepas setelah diberitahu tentang hal ini. Saya sudah berjanji untuk menghadiri majlis perkahwinan Fathiyyah dan Umair di Gombak.
Jadi saya nekad. Saya selesaikan semua kerja siap-siap pada hari Jumaat itu. Saya pulang ke rumah sekitar pukul 10 malam dan datang awal ke wad pagi tadi supaya saya dapat baik awal untuk terus bertolak ke KL. Pukul 12 tengahari, semuanya selesai. Saya singgah di rumah sekejap untuk menjemput sepupu saya, Linda, yang akan menemani saya ke KL dan kemudian terus bertolak.
Alhamdulliah. Sempat juga saya bertemu Fathiyyah dan Umair. Atau lebih tepat lagi, akhirnya bertemu juga saya dengan Fathiyyah secara empat mata. Boleh pula si pengantin comel ni menangis bila bertemu saya =) Thia, selamat pengantin baru. Ingat semua pesanan Umamah yang bijaksana itu ya =) Untuk Umair, jaga Thia baik-baik ya.
Dari KL, saya terus ke Shah Alam untuk menghantar Linda. Dia akan memulakan Masternya minggu depan. Juga hendak melawat Adi di sana. Geram jugalah tadi sebab sesat-sesat di Shah Alam ketika mencari rumah Adi. Tetapi, sebaik saja Adi tahu saya oncall pada hari esok, terus dia menawarkan untuk menghantar saya pulang ke Temerloh semula.
Selepas menghantar Linda ke rumah sewanya, kami bertolak pulang. Saya tertidur kepenatan di sepanjang perjalanan. Adi memandu sendirian. Saya hanya tersedar ketika kereta sedang menaiki bukit rumah.
Sebaik saja melangkah ke dalam bilik, saya terdengar bunyi cicak. Sudah seminggu cicak itu tak berbunyi. Saya terbaring di tepi handphone yang sedang dicaj.
Malam ini saya menangis sepenuh hati…
